Raising people out of poverty through education
Johnathan McKeen-Chaff was not raised as a Christian and suffered great pain from family tragedy and incessant bullying. Suffering severe anxiety because of the significant events in his life he had contemplated the end, yet God had greater plans. At eleven years old Johnathan was invited to Darby Community Church (formerly Amelia Baptist Church) and led to salvation by Pastor Chris Conti. After becoming a Christian, Johnathan began to dedicate his life to Christ. His philosophy is that Jesus said "love others as you'd love yourself" and that the way to do that is to "go ye therefor spreading the gospel" and that you do that by building loving relationships with people. After his graduation from Pasco High School, Johnathan had plans to become a neurosurgeon but decided to take an inner city ministry internship in Gadsden, AL with Breakaway Ministries under Eddie Nichols. While ministering over their transition home, Johnathan felt an intense call to ministry. After spending ten months in Alabama, Johnathan returned to Dade City to start his ministry in the form of this Amelia Foundation. Apart from ministry, Johnathan is a master pianist, having led worship all over central Florida. He absolutely loves his family and prays earnestly for their salvation. He frequents Olga's and is currently finishing his degree at Pasco-Hernando State College.
